Employment Coaches

Would you like one on one attention with your job search, career exploration, training options, and simply just a resume or covering letter? An Employment Coach can assist you with all these areas and even more. Many people when unemployed do not take the steps to talk to someone about their skills, goals, and employment direction. Employment Coaches are available to help guide persons towards their employment goals amongst the myriad of labour market confusion.

Training Assistance

The SCEC offers a Variety of workshops. For clients on Employment Insurance or who have had an EI claim over the past 3-5 years, who can prove that they cannot find work without retraining, may be eligible to receive funds for training. Call to make an appointment with one of our Employment Coaches today for more info.

Resources

Clients have free access to computers, the internet, phone/fax machine, photocopiers, and job boards. To find out more check out the Resource Center page.

Other services

Help in creating resumes, cover letters and portfolios; tips on where and how to find employment (including job boards with great leads!); information on career planning and support around further training and or education.

Safety Gear

Clients requiring appropriate steel toed boots, hardhats, or work gloves can drop in and see what we have available. All of our safety gear is donated to use so supplies may vary.
